About the Event
This E2E Business Leaders’ Breakfast at the House of Lords is being jointly hosted by Lord Bilimoria CBE, DL, Co-Founder of Cobra Beer, Chancellor of Birmingham University and an E2E Board Director and Shalini Khemka, E2E’s Founder and CEO, Deal Maker for the UK Government’s Department of International Trade and a Member of the Mayor of London’s Business Advisory Board.

Darryl was formally CEO of LDC, which under his leadership, invested over £2.6 billion in approximately 166 UK companies, mainly small and medium enterprises. During Darryl’s tenure as CEO LDC delivered capital gains in excess of £1.2 billion resulting in the most successful period in the firm’s history.
An avid football fan, Darryl became the Chairman of Oxford United F.C. ensuring an unforgettable promotion for the Club from League 2 and having relinquished his post, is now the ambitious owner of Solihull Moors F.C.
Darryl is committed to helping UK entrepreneurs foster a new enthusiasm for enterprise and wealth creation and will share his entrepreneurial experiences, addressing your current business challenges. His talk will be followed by an interactive Q&A.

Having been the Chairman at Oxford United, Darryl is now the owner of Solihull Moors. A chartered accountant by background, Darryl worked in private equity for more than 20 years and was CEO of LDC since 2003. Under his leadership, LDC invested over £2.6 billion in 166 companies. Darryl brings his wealth of experience and expertise in the SME and entrepreneurial space to his role as Chairman of E2E.

Shalini founded E2E in 2011. Her mission was to develop the largest and most active entrepreneurial community in the UK to enable extraordinary connections for entrepreneurs.
Under Shalini’s guidance E2E has become a trusted entrepreneurial community which has one objective: to unlock the full potential of ambitious entrepreneurial businesses by enabling extraordinary connections. Shalini is also a Deal Maker for the UK Government, a Member of the Mayor of London’s Business Advisory Board, a Non-Executive Director of UK Export Finance (UKEF), a Fellow of Burton & South Derbyshire College and a Judge for The Great British Entrepreneurial Awards. Before establishing E2E, Shalini co-founded the world’s first bank to bank trade finance platform. She was an Investment Director at LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyd’s Banking Group and held finance related roles at Deutsche Bank, Bankers Trust, Natwest Bank and Coopers & Lybrand.
Lord Karan Bilimoria CBE, DL

In 1989, at the age of 27 and with £20,000 in debt, Lord Bilimoria launched Cobra Beer. By November 2014, Cobra had a market share of over 98% of all licensed Indian restaurants within the United Kingdom. Lord Bilimoria was appointed the Lord Bilimoria of Chelsea, making him the first ever Zoroastrian to sit in the House of Lords.
