This virtual evening event is your opportunity to connect with Simon Woodroffe OBE, Founder of £100m+ franchise YO! Sushi who went from rags to riches as well as the who’s who of entrepreneurship in the city; exploring current challenges, experiences, and ideas over a glass of wine in a unique setting.
Simon, former ‘Dragon’ on the first UK series of Dragons’ Den is ‘no ordinary’ businessman, celebrated as not only the Founder of UK leading Japanese restaurant chain with over 100 YO! Sushi restaurants but now the Founder of YOTELS, the international hotel brand inspired by hotels in Japan.
There are now over 1,000 ‘YOTELS’ in three countries with a further 4,000 planned.

Simon Woodroffe OBE
Founder – YO!
Simon Woodroffe OBE is the creator of YO! Sushi, the conveyor belt sushi restaurant chain which opened in 1997 and now has over 100 sites around the world.
With £30m investment, Woodroffe then launched ‘YOTEL’, the first class cabin-style hotel capsules offering them initially in Gatwick and then in Heathrow. There are now over 1,000 ‘YOTELS’ in three countries with a further 4,000 planned. Locations include: New York City, Singapore, San Francisco and Istanbul.
Not content with resting after all that, Simon is now working on YO! Home, his re-invention of the city apartment and more YO! projects.
Charismatic and full of business wisdom, Simon will invigorate and energise us by sharing his personal tales of entrepreneurialism and success.

Richard is the CEO of IWG UK. He joined in 2014 following his role as CEO of G4S’s UK & Ireland Division. Since joining, Richard has consistently delivered year on year growth for Regus’ UK division.

Before establishing E2E, Shalini co-founded the world’s first bank to bank trade finance platform. She was an Investment Director at LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyd’s Banking Group and held finance related roles at Deutsche Bank, Bankers Trust, Natwest Bank and Coopers & Lybrand.
