Viruses, hacking and other offences

Membership

Membership of E2Exchange is a personal membership and is not transferable.

Membership of E2Exchange is subject to the approval of the Membership Committee. Our Membership Committee deals with all applications in a strictly private and confidential manner. E2Exchange does not disclose details of Committee members. The Membership Committee reserves the right to refuse membership without comment – no correspondence will be entered into.

Some parts of the website are restricted and can only be accessed by Members. Misuse of the website in breach of these terms of use may lead to membership being terminated.

Members should keep their log in details confidential and are responsible for all use of the website using their log in details. If you believe that a third party has access to your log in details you should change them [or contact E2Exchange for assistance.]

Full Membership provides unlimited access to all E2Exchange events. As a member of the UK’s leading entrepreneurial network, you’ll have the opportunity to meet likeminded individuals, share ideas, make the right connections, attract new Executive and NED talent, and pitch for investment.

Cancellation policy

Within 7 days of an invoice being issued for membership then membership moneies must be paid, if you cancel your membership within seven days of purchasing it a full refund will be issued, once the seven days have passed no refund of membership is possible.
E2Exchange is not a business development or selling network.

Members have agreed to follow a general code of conduct as follows:
COURTESY - I will be helpful to fellow Members, particularly newer Members and I will give notice when I cannot attend an event so that someone else can make use of the place.
SUPPORT - I will use the Exchange to seek support and advice from fellow Members on business issues and will try and respond to any specific requests for advice from fellow members.
SELLING - I agree to avoid soliciting or selling goods and services to fellow Members unless invited to do so. And I will hold fellow members accountable for abiding by these simple guidelines – I will intervene when necessary.

Individual Membership

Our E2E community consist of our exceptional Board and Advisory Board, and our members:

  • E2E Pioneers
  • E2E Ambassadors
  • E2E Advocates

The E2E Pioneers and E2E Ambassadors are a select and highly exclusive group of globally leading entrepreneurs who are making an ‘in time’ commitment to E2E to further inspire some of the UK’s scale-up companies. E2E Advocates are scale-up entrepreneurs looking to significantly grow their businesses.

Criteria

To be eligible for Membership, you must meet the following criteria:

As Pioneer:

  • You are serial entrepreneur.
  • You are an active Non-Exec Director.
  • You’ve grown your businesses from scratch to turnovers over £100 million.

As an Ambassador:

  • You are an exceptional entrepreneur at the forefront of their market who have successfully.
  • scaled up their businesses in the last few years.
  • You run your businesses with turnovers in excess of £10 million.

As an Advocate:

  • Your business should be committed to significant growth and have been trading for at least two years with a minimum turnover of at least £1m.
  • You must be the Founding Managing Director, Chief Executive or principal of the business with a significant ownership interest. Founder Directors or Founding Partners of businesses, other than the Managing Director, may be allowed membership at the discretion of the Membership Committee. However, Founding Partners or Directors of professional advisers (lawyers/accountants and independent financial advisers) are not normally eligible for membership.
  • You run your businesses with turnovers in excess of £0.5 million.

We will also consider applications from the following

  • Entrepreneurs leading fully invested high growth-potential companies at an early stage where the business plan makes it clear they are committed to rapid growth.
  • Entrepreneurs who have been nominated to take over a qualifying business – e.g. the next generation of a family business or the nominated CEO successor.
  • Serial entrepreneurs who have a track record of successfully growing businesses and who may be starting again but also who may be between projects.
  • Corporate entrepreneurs – people in corporate roles who set the strategic direction of a business and can demonstrate entrepreneurship in their role subject to Board discretion.
  • Outstanding individuals with strong entrepreneurial flair subject to Board discretion.

Events

We host a spectacular variety of events throughout the year, from breakfast seminars and pitching events to private dinners and grand cocktail receptions. All E2E events are invitation only.

  • E2E Pioneer and Ambassador Memberships provide unlimited access to all E2Exchange events at no cost.
  • E2E Advocates can request a ticket to E2E events at additional cost. Ticket prices may differ for each event.
  • E2E Corporate Membership provides access to selected events at no cost.
  • Members have agreed to follow a general code of conduct as follows:

E2Exchange reserves the right to modify programme of any event up to the day of the event. If unforeseen circumstances cause E2Exchange to cancel an event, we shall inform you as soon as possible and offer you a refund.

If you wish to cancel a booking, please note the following cancellation conditions:

  • · 6 weeks or more prior to the event - 100% refund.
  • · 2-6 weeks prior to the event - 50% refund.
  • · 0-2 weeks prior to the event – no refund.

All events are costly to set up, even those which are 'no charge'. If you are an E2E Ambassador or E2E Accelerator and attend events for free and you cancel an event less than two weeks before the event. Otherwise, you will be charged £45 cancellation fee.

If you book but find you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. We often hold waiting lists, and someone else could attend in your place.

This policy applies unless an event has a special cancellation policy. All cancellations must be made in writing via email to eloise@e2exchange.com.

By registering to attend an event, you have confirmed that you have read and understood our cancellation policy.

Mandate for informal introductions

During any private dinners or events organized by E2Exchange, if you are introduced to/meet an individual or an organisation, which in turn generates commercial value to you, we would be grateful if you would be able to make a donation to E2E. The amount we suggest is 1% of the total commercial value.

E2Exchange is a not for profit organisation and depends on the support of those to whom we add value. The contributions help E2Exchange to facilitate the work we conduct, in particular focusing on creating connectivity between entrepreneurs and facilitating informal introductions.

For any in-formal introductions made, we request that you keep us informed of the outcome and developments.

Mandate for formal introductions

A formal introduction is a directly requested introduction facilitated by E2Exchange to a given company or individual. For such introductions, E2E will be formally engaged to facilitate this connectivity.

If as a result of any formal introductions made by E2E to an individual or a corporate organisation, you were to gain commercial benefit from those introductions, E2E requests you to pay the introduction fee. as per our terms of engagement.

Investment and Non-Exec Recruitment

As E2Exchange actively helps and facilitates the introduction of appropriate investors to the pitching companies. E2Exchange is rewarded success fees if a company is successfully funded. In order to help us monitor our deals, we ask that you follow the below guidelines if you wish to meet any companies that E2E is mandated with to fundraise for.

  • Please submit any enquiries that you may have on companies in E2E network looking for investment through E2Exchange.
  • You can contact either Shalini or Chenjie in this regard and their email addresses are as follows: Shalini@e2exchange.com and chenjie@e2exchange.com Please do not contact the companies directly.
  • If you know of, or would like to direct any of the investee companies to any contacts that you must conduct these introductions through E2E.
  • If you wish to invest, you will be required to sign a Sophisticated Investor Form and a disclaimer that confirms you adhere to these guidelines.
  • If you wish to work with a company in any capacity, then please do let Shalini or Annamaria know and we would be happy to facilitate this.
  • If you are raising funds or recruiting non-execs you will be bonded by the terms and conditions of our fund raising and non-exec policies.
